Frequently Asked Questions

The School Day

The school day for all students begins at 7:50 AM and ends at 2:45 PM. Early release days begin at 7:50 AM and end at 12:45 PM. Late start days begin at 10:45 AM and end at 2:45 PM. Please refer to the school calendar for early release and late start days.

Student Uniform

Students at school are expected to wear uniforms at all times, unless it is a designated dress down or spirit day. Students may wear UCA spirit gear on ROAR Wednesdays, which is the first Wednesday of every month.

Males are to wear black or tan uniform bottoms (no sweat pants, jeans/denim, or cargo pants). Shorts must be walking shorts. Shirts are to be white, black, purple or gold collared shirts. Third layer is a sweater vest, cardigan or blazer in purple or black with a school logo. Ties are to be worn on formal uniform days. Shoes must be in good repair.

During warmer months skorts can be worn with leggins or tights. Shorts must be walking shorts. Shirts are to be white, black, purple or gold collared shirts. Third layer is a sweater vest, cardigan or blazer in purple or black with a school logo. Ties are to be worn on formal uniform days. Shoes must be in good repair.

Lunch Program

UP Christian Academy is participating in a Free Breakfast and Lunch program for the current school year 20203.  This alternative is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision.  All students enrolled at the following school may participate in the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program at no charge.   Household applications are not required to receive free meals, but applications may be distributed by the school to collect household income data for other programs that require this information. 

All students will be served breakfast and lunch at no charge.

Parent Volunteer Hours

UCA parents are the primary educators of their children and are, therefore, an integral part of the school community. Since parent enthusiasm and support are vital to ongoing school programs, each family is required to contribute 20 hours of volunteer service to the school each year.
